“ A rare BYOB that focuses their skill with fresh meals and baked goodies. It was my first time dining. After flying in from NC, I met with friends that I haven't seen in 30 years. Our meals were stunning and I cannot wait to come back again. Even if it means flying. Worth the trip!!! ”
“ I would have sworn that I reviewed Russillo's previously. Almost positive. Whatever the case, I have dined at this place numerous times over the years and I love it. Russillo's makes a decent pie, don't get me wrong. But entrees are where they shine. Excellent quality, fresh ingredients, expert preparation. Pasta, seafood, pork, you name it. Tonight we stared with the Sausage appetizer. Hot, but not too hot sausage mixed with garlic, potatoes, long hots, peppers and onions. A very good opener. We also shared a Tricolor salad which was on point as well. For the main I ordered Linguine with shrimp and broccoli rabe served in garlic and olive oil. The linguine was cooked perfectly. The dish was light, fresh and flavorful. My wife ordered the Linguine in white clam sauce which was equally delicious. The last time I was there I ordered the Pork Chop Murphy which was easily one of the best meals I have ever had. The service is always personable and attentive. The dining area is clean, pleasant and comfortable. I highly recommend Russillo's and look forward to our next visit. ”
“ Our friend came up with the rec on Russillo"s so we decided to stop in for Thursday night dinner. Our friends mom has been hunting for the best NJ pizza and Russillos hit a high point BUT tonight we did the dining room so no pizza unless ordered as an appetizer That was the only curve and to be honest i didnt care as the entrees were fantastic. Complimentary italian bakery artisan rolls and butter come hot to your table. For entrees i had the calamari marinara subbed angel hair for linguni - perfect. Calamari was plentiful and tender , sauce was rich and flavorful and the angel hair was cooked a perfect al dente Next visit i want to try their highly regarded pizza ! ”
“ Casual pizzeria in the front with a renovated private dining area in the back with an incredible menu and revolving seasonal specials. Marge was the absolute best server, was lucky to have her - she recommended pretty much everything I ate and it was all exceptional! My favorite was the pork chop, perfectly cooked which is very tricky to do given how thick it was. The spicy vodka pappardelle had some good heat to warm me up in this ice age. Some very unique dishes as well - they do a hot honey scallop and risotto dish. Doubted it but the flavor profiles worked very well. Giant cannoli finish was the perfect night cap. Drove over an hour in rush hour to seek this spot out and I'd do it all over again. And again! ”
“ An amazing Italian spot in the heart of Caldwell that is taking the neighborhood by storm! Really great Italian staples made with love! The eggplant stack was fantastic& calaMari was sweet and savory! Now for the pasta ! The spicy vodka with burrata was just PERFECT! & the short rib I could eat all day! Y'all have to che k this place out !!! ”
“ Had an amazing dinner at Russillo! All of the staff were very nice and made great recommendations, especially the owner Dave! They had amazing specials which they change often. My favorite apps were the Crab Cake and the Hotsy Totsy Shrimp! The Veal Saltimbocca was also soooo good. Everything came out piping hot so you knew it was fresh! Overall had a great meal and I will definitely be back! ”
“ Both dishes we ordered were delicious! The bonus was that they have a parking lot only for their customers. For Caldwell, that's a talking point. I ordered the carbonara with peas and shrimp over pappardelle and my friend ordered the rigatoni with sausage bolognese. We both thoroughly enjoyed our dishes! They have a pizzeria in front with a couple of tables and in the back is a small restaurant that is very nice for a night out or a family dinner. Prices were fair and both our entrées were delicious. Service: the male waiter was terrible. He delivered the bread with a plunk right on my friends bread plate and kept walking. He was abrupt throughout the evening to the point it felt rude. But the female waitress was very kind and reasonably attentive. She didn't refill my soda and seemed harried. The service is a ding, but not enough to make me not come back. Service aside, I enjoyed the food enough to definitely come again and I can see why a lot of reviewers say they are regulars. The food is very good. ”
